Seitz is a powerhouse vocalist known for her versatility; critics have described her voice as seductive, soulful and sweet as well as brassy and sassy. Seitz is backed by some of Chicagolandís best blues talent; her Swank Daddys include Kenny Kinsey and Nick Byrd of the Kinsey Report, former Buddy Guy drummer Jerry Porter, and TJ Jenkins of the Mighty Kings. Seitz just released a new solo CD, Another Promise, a record that "makes many musical promises and delivers on each one," (Midwest BEAT Magazine).
The benefit will open with the captivating vocals of local wild blues woman Shari Davis. Shari Davis and the Hootchy-Kootchy Band play a musical range focusing on blues with infusions of jazz and swing. Davis has had a long and varied musical career fronting several bands with a diversity of styles. With a strong line-up of Madison-based blues talent, Shari Davis and the Hootchy-Kootchy Band are known for getting people on their feet and dancing.
Madison Blues Society hosts the event, which includes and on-site raffle, to raise funds for Family Enhancement Program, an organization that works with parents to strengthen families so that children will become healthy, capable, and responsible adults, ready to raise and support future generations of children. Blues Society members will be present to sell memberships, CD's and blues related merchandise.
