On Sundays from 1:00PM to 2:00PM, UW Madison Blues fans can enjoy "The Roots and the Fruits" at 91.7FM on University of Wisconsin radio WSUM. The show is hosted by the Dean Knetter, a Blues fan who really digs the gritty sounds of the Blues. The show is inspired by Willie Dixon's claim that "The blues are the roots, and everything else is the fruits." So you'll hear a lot of killer blues, both old and new, alongside the stuff it inspired: soul, funk and R&B.
Like many great Blues broadcasts, the show is live streamed for those who are out of radio range. Check out the "Listen Now" button to tune in the show!
