Help support Westside Andy and his wife, Donna, who has been diagnosed with stage four lung cancer and medical bills are piling up. Andy and his band have been bringing great blues music to Madison for many, many years. It's time to thank him and help out in their time of need. LCPL ALEC CATHERWOOD BENEFIT CONCERT
SATURDAY, JANUARY 15 at the American Legion Post, 116 N. Union Street, Byron, IL from 7:00PM to 11:00PM. It's not too far to drive, just check out the MAP. Proceeds will go to the Alec Catherwood Benefit Memorial Scholarship Fund. Alec was killed in action in Afghanistan on October 14, 2010 and the scholarship fund was set up in his honor. Sponsored by the Crossroads Blues Society.
Great Blues music from the J.B. Ritchie Power Blues Band playing their rockin' style of hot Chicago blues. Featuring J.B. Ritchie on guitar and vocals, Frank Bandy on bass and Steve Sandman on drums, J.B. and the band will provide some hot music for this great event. The evening will also feature silent auctions, ticket raffles and a 50-50 raffle. The suggested donation to attend is $10 per person.

Deep Water Reunion, the fabulous Blues and R&B Band from central Wisconsin, will be playing at the Brink Lounge on Thrusday, October 21 at 8:00PM. Admission is $7 but Madison Blues Society members will be admitted for just $5. Many of us remember their terrific performance that put them in the top three at the first Wisconsin Blues Challenge in 2007. Here's your chance to see them again!
DWR was recently featured in a cameo performance in the movie, "Nonames" - playing "Share the Love". You can see "Nonames" at the Orpheum Theater at 216 State Street in Madison on Wednesday October 20.

ALL NIGHT BLUES PARTY / OPEN JAM - FRIDAYS
This great show comes to the Knuckledown Saloon every Friday night! When the work week is over, head on over to 2513 Seiferth Road (turn east on Pflaum from Stoughton Road, then right on Seiferth, first street on the right). It's just a little up the block. The show starts at 7:00PM with some terrific performances and then the jam runs til bar time - 2:00AM!
This is a continuing weekly event going all night long! From early to late, it's an all-night Blues party and a community event, as the stage opens to everyone who wants to play. With all night to play, everyone will get plenty of a chance to play and play and play ...
Located near Stoughton Road & Pflaum Road, the Knuckledown Saloon is the former bar known as "Area 51" and before that "The 4th Quarter". It has been completely remodelled, they've got great food and killer drink prices.
